Made in China Lunch


The Economic Society of Australia invites you to an informal lunch featuring James Laurenceson, Senior Lecturer in Economics at The University of Queensland.

The view that Australia’s economic fortunes have now decoupled from the US and joined those of China
has become commonplace in the macroeconomic commentary. Dr Laurenceson argues that this is
simplistic and will discuss the many ways in which our economic fortunes are not “Made in China”.
